The Eagle
Part
2
Two types of eagles are mentioned in the Bible. The
imperial eagle speaks of royalty, majesty and a place of power.
The Gold eagle speaks of divinity and the nature of God within us.
As a Christian, you are a child of God with power. God’s divine nature is within you.
The Bible declares that you are a partaker of His divine nature.
The eagle Christian refuses to live by the law of the carnal natural man.
The eagle Christian mounts up with power and authority.
Jesus said, “…upon this rock, I will build my church; and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. (Matthew 16:18)
In nature the eagle stands upon the rock and can see afar off from that position.
Spiritually, if you are living on the rock, you will receive supernatural vision as you stand upon the Word.
As scripture declares, the Lord is ready to feed you with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagles.
(1) What is the way of an eagle in the air?
Proverbs 30:18-19
There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not: [19] The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid.
We are not looking at a nature study we are looking at a revelation.
The Bible states the way of an eagle in the air. What’s that? It is the mystery of a Christian, Living without visible support like a supernatural creature.
(2) The way of a serpent upon a rock: The mystery of Christ and Satan
(3) The way of a ship in the midst of the sea: That is the mystery of the church surviving in this world
(4) The way of a man with a maid: That is the mystery of Christ and His Church (Bride)
Let us talk about the way of an eagle in the air. The mystery of a Christian living in a supernatural way without any visible, physical and natural support.
To Solomon it was a mystery. To us God will open our eyes to see something marvelous and glorious.
SAY THIS: Eagle Christians are a mystery to every other bird.
An eagle is made for Heaven. You and I my friend are made for Heaven we are not creatures of this planet.
We live here but the Bible tells us that we are seated in Heavenly places.
What do you feel like when God stirs your nest? Are you developing spiritual muscles today?
Do you stop to as yourself when you feel like you are being dumped from your comfy, cozy nest over and over, “What is God trying to say to me?”
Before God ever throws you down to teach you how to fly, He shows you His power.
If God shows you His power get ready you are about to be dumped and shown how to fly.
Always remember that it is in death we find life and it is in struggle that we find our destiny.
The mama eagle shows her wings to the baby as the baby is falling, She is telling the eagles, “See you have wings just like I do.
Sooner or later you are going to learn how to fly.
The same power that is in Christ is in you. You have wings!
The Bible tells us that an eaglet becomes an eagle and becomes the KING OF BIRDS.
The Bible tells me in Romans 5:17 that we reign in Christ.
God says you are over not under. You’re the head not the tail.
God wants you to be marvelous eagles with power to mount up, not fly up, with wings of eagles.
Isaiah 40:28-31
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. [29] He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. [30] Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: [31] But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
I pray that God gives you a heart of a champion, the mind of a winner and the spirit of a conqueror.
Failure cannot come unless you give it permission.
Failure and success in Christ is a decision not an accident.
Numbers 13:30
And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
What one thing is the difference between people who are eagle Christians and people who are birds who are dying trying to survive? Overcoming, imperial believers and believers who are scared of their own shadow? Weakness and strength?
Eagle Christians say we are able and lets do it now!
Numbers 13:31
But
the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the
people; for they are stronger than we.
It is time to look at the devils face and say I
know who I am.
They didn’t know who they were they thought they were grasshoppers.
Numbers 13:33
And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
God says don’t escape He says stand up strong fight and win be a overcommer.
Christ said I will build my church and the gates of hell will not stop that church from walking.
I will not think like a slave, through our God we shall do valiantly, it is He who tread down the enemies.
The eagle finds that struggle is not for survival but for education.
Job 39:27-30
Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high? [28] She dwelleth and abideth on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place. [29] From thence she seeketh the prey, and her eyes behold afar off. [30] Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain are, there is she.
When God commands you Fly
The eagle Christian dwells on the Rock.
If you are rock you receive supernatural vision.
What does the eagle do to receive strength? VS 30 feeds on blood.
The first thing the eagle gives her young is blood. Because they have to know that only by blood they will survive.
That tells us the first thing we should teach and preach is the blood.
The blood of Christ gives us power just like the eagle.
[and where the slain are, there is she.] Jesus states where the slain are the eagles gather.
The disciples ask Jesus in Matthew 24 and Luke 17 what will the end would be like and He began to tell them.
Them he made a statement that few Christians grasp.
Jesus began talking about the rapture; In Matthew 24 He states one will be taken and one will be left. Then He said where the eagles are there will the slave be.
IN Luke HE said where the body is there will the eagles gather.
Deuteronomy 8:1,2 states struggle is not for survival. God does not put you through struggle so you can have a problem.
Struggle comes for education because in Deuteronomy 8 God states “ All these things have come so you will know.”
Knowledge can change your destiny.
SAY AFTER ME: Let the weak say I am strong!
The Lord has life and life more abundantly to give to you today!!
___
No one is a prisoner of their own circumstances. Those who are unwilling to lose rarely do. God wants us to be eagles with a mentality of a king, not a slave.
Moses is a great example of this. He was humble and walked in meekness before the Lord.
However, when God spoke to him he walked in strength. Moses walked into Pharaoh’s palace and said, “Let my people go!”
The Lord wants His people to walk victoriously. God made His people to soar, not to sink; to climb, not to crawl; to fly, not to fall.
God said that you are the head not the tail. You are above and not beneath.
You are a creator of circumstances, not a prisoner. It is time to change your mentality to be mighty like the eagle!
Isaiah 40:31
But
they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up
with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and
not faint.
Eagles don’t fly they mount. The eagle waits for the wind.
The eagle stands on the rock which is God’s word
The Bible states that the righteous will call on the lord and He will deliver them out of their Struggles.
If you are meek you have self-control.
Weakness is not humility and withdrawal is not meekness.
God wants us to be eagles with the mentality of a king – not a slave.
Moses was meek but he had the power to walk into Pharaoh’s palace and say, “Let my people go!”
In numbers we have the story of the twelve spies.
Numbers 13:17-33
And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said unto them, Get you up this way southward, and go up into the mountain: 18And see the land, what it is; and the people that dwelleth therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many; 19And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad; and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds; 20And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the firstripe grapes.
God wants us to have the fruit of heaven here!
Moses said bring it with you.
Ten of them went into the land and had a grasshopper mentality.
30And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
Twelve spies, ten of them had a grasshopper mentality and two of them had a giant killing mentality.
Now ten comes back and the two comes back.
The two comes back and say: “We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.”
They bring the fruit with them.
Now the ten have a horrible report. “We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.”
The problem with the ten was that they still walked in the mentality of slaves.
They did not yet know the freedom of Egypt.
Only the two had a son-ship mentality. They saw themselves as sons not as slaves.
Do you see your self as a son or daughter of Christ today or as a slave?
The
reason that many of us have not been able to go and invade territory and take it
back is because we have been bound by a mentality of slaves, while God is
screaming from heaven saying, “Take you position.”
Look
at this slave mentality.
33And
there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and
we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
The way you see yourself is the way the devil will see you. The way the world will see you.
Say after me:
Faith does not ignore fact, faith ignores the power of that fact.
See the ignored the power of the giants. They said they are there but we can defeat them.
Say after me: “God made me to sore not to sink; to climb not to crawl; to fly not to fall.”
Numbers 13:23
And they came unto the brook of Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two upon a staff; and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs.
They came back with the grapes and said look people.
God tells us in Deuteronomy 32:14 that He will allow us to taste the blood of the grapes.
The juice of the grape.
What does the grape speak of? Health, prosperity, and power.
When they brought the grapes out they were saying look at the health that is ours, look at the prosperity that’s ours, look at he power that’s ours. Let’s taste it.
The Bible is a book of pictures. We can go nowhere with God unless we see the promise in a picture.
You’ve got to change your vision and once you change your vision, you’ll change your mentality.
You have to change how you see.
Jeremiah 1:11
Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.
Rod – His authority
Almond branches – Hs resurrection power.
When The Lord said what do you see Jeremiah, Jeremiah said, I see my authority and the resurrection power that is within it.
God says:
Jeremiah 1:12
Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.
2 Kings 4:17-37
And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season that Elisha had said unto her, according to the time of life.
18And when the child was grown, it fell on a day, that he went out to his father to the reapers. 19And he said unto his father, My head, my head. And he said to a lad, Carry him to his mother. 20And when he had taken him, and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died. 21And she went up, and laid him on the bed of the man of God, and shut the door upon him, and went out. 22And she called unto her husband, and said, Send me, I pray thee, one of the young men, and one of the asses, that I may run to the man of God, and come again. 23And he said, Wherefore wilt thou go to him to day? it is neither new moon, nor sabbath. And she said, It shall be well. 24Then she saddled an ass, and said to her servant, Drive, and go forward; slack not thy riding for me, except I bid thee. 25So she went and came unto the man of God to mount Carmel. And it came to pass, when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to Gehazi his servant, Behold, yonder is that Shunammite: 26Run now, I pray thee, to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well. 27And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught him by the feet: but Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the man of God said, Let her alone; for her soul is vexed within her: and the Lord hath hid it from me, and hath not told me. 28Then she said, Did I desire a son of my lord? did I not say, Do not deceive me? 29Then he said to Gehazi, Gird up thy loins, and take my staff in thine hand, and go thy way: if thou meet any man, salute him not; and if any salute thee, answer him not again: and lay my staff upon the face of the child. 30And the mother of the child said, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And he arose, and followed her. 31And Gehazi passed on before them, and laid the staff upon the face of the child; but there was neither voice, nor hearing. Wherefore he went again to meet him, and told him, saying, The child is not awaked. 32And when Elisha was come into the house, behold, the child was dead, and laid upon his bed. 33He went in therefore, and shut the door upon them twain, and prayed unto the Lord. 34And he went up, and lay upon the child, and put his mouth upon his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and his hands upon his hands: and he stretched himself upon the child; and the flesh of the child waxed warm. 35Then he returned, and walked in the house to and fro; and went up, and stretched himself upon him: and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes. 36And he called Gehazi, and said, Call this Shunammite. So he called her. And when she was come in unto him, he said, Take up thy son. 37Then she went in, and fell at his feet, and bowed herself to the ground, and took up her son, and went out.
What did God show Abraham when Abraham asked him how he would have a multitude of children?
He Told him to count the stars. God told him he would have as many children as the stars in heaven and the sands.
What you see is what you get. Look beyond the natural!!!
Job 23:10 states, “That when He has tried me. I shall come forth as gold.”
