Evangelist Irby G. Camp Jr.
Fruit of the Spirit
Part 1
Fruit
of the Spirit (ONE FRUIT)
Those
who are displaying the Fruit are those who are walking in the Spirit.
Notice
9 Fruit not Fruits. One cluster of 9 Graces called Fruit.
9
Gifts – 9 Fruit The
Bible calls it Fruit because there are 9 Graces in that Fruit.
LOVE
The first and most important of all.
A
Gift is Imparted --- A Fruit is Grown.
You
cannot receive LOVE you develop it.
There
is a Gift of Faith – Different from the Fruit of Faith
The
Fruit of the Spirit must grow and develop
You
develop Love toward Jesus.
Romans
5:5
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in
our hearts by the Holy Ghost, which is given unto us.
It is not a one-time experience; it is an ongoing development toward Christ.
If someone’s love
has grown cold it is someone who didn’t develop the Fruit of Love.
In
Revelation 2:4 God rebukes those who lack love toward Him.
Rev.
2:4
Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
So,
Love toward Jesus is a Fruit that must develop and grow through relationship.
Remember
what Jesus Said: I am the vine you are the Branches, but the branch is the thing
on a tree that bears Fruit, so I am the vine so you bear Fruit, and you bear
Fruit as long as you are connected to the vine.
I
am you source. Without Me you can do nothing.
So
how do we produce Love?
(1)
We will produce Love by getting to know Jesus more
(2)
By not allowing wrong influence to kill that fruit.
(3)
By being planted in the house of the Lord and flourish in the courts of
our God.
Then
that Fruit begins to develop out of our lives and we as we continue to do those
three things we will continue to develop that Fruit in our lives.
Do
you want your Love for Jesus to develop and grow and be strengthened?
It
happens as your relationship with Him gets deeper as you allow Godly influence
to influence you and not the negative and as you remain strong in the fellowship
of the saints then your Love for God will develop.
So
the Fruit of Love is His Fruit developed by His divine power but we must operate
with Him to see it happen.
Ephes.
3:16-19
That
he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened
with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17That
Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in
love, 18May
be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length,
and depth, and height; 19And
to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled
with all the fullness of God.
Knowing the fullness of His Love brings me the fullness of God.
But
it is my privilege, my joy, to develop that relationship.
Jesus
says come get to know Me better I will not force you into this I am asking you
to come into it. Get to know me I have made myself available to you.
You
are invited to know me in my depth. All you have to do is give me your time.
Look
at the Key of this whole thing. Vs 16 That he would grant you according to the
riches of His Glory to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner
man.
Say
after me: The riches of His Glory mean the riches of His person and presence.
When
we are strengthened by the riches of His presence we will grow in th fullness of
His Love.
The
second Fruit is Joy: The
next Grace. Nine Graces and One
Fruit.
Joy,
the gift that causes the believer to know God’s strength every day.
Neh.
8:10
Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat,
and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared:
for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the
Lord is your strength.
But
true Joy is the Fruit of the Spirit that you develop through Salvation.
Joy
is not happiness. Joy is not Gladness. Joy is not a emotion.
Joy
is a Spiritual reality.
What
part of you knows Joy? Not the
soul, not the body, the Spirit.
Say:
My Spirit has rejoiced in God my savior.
The
Spirit knows no emotion. It only knows reality.
That
is why Paul in Corinthians would say sorrowing yet rejoicing.
I
can know sorrow in my soul but Joy in my heart, All at the same time.
Joy
results from salvation.
David
said in Psalm 51:12 after he had sinned. After he had fallen with Bathsheba he
cried and said Lord forgive my transgressions, and then he said restore until me
the Joy of thy salvation.
Joy
is the result of salvation. Not falling under the power. Not the baptism of the
Holy Spirit, Not even a physical Healing. True Joy is the result of knowing
Christ.
Being
healed brings gladness, being filed with the Spirit brings ecstasy, but only Joy
is permanent. Everything else is seasonal.
If
you know the Joy of Salvation you will never know weakness in the Spirit.
Because the Joy of the Lord that is the results of salvation will always be your
strength.
What
did Isaiah say in Isaiah 12:3
Isaiah
12:3
Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of
salvation.
Vs
4—and in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord.
So
out of the wells of salvation we draw Joy.
Jesus
and His presence brings Love.
Jesus
and His salvation brings Joy.
It
is not just knowing I am saved, it is keeping that knowledge strong. How do we
do that? Through His word.
Jesus
said in John 15:11 These things I have spoken unto you that your joy might
remain. That your Joy might what?
Remain
Jeremiah
15:16
Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy
word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy
name, O Lord God of hosts.
Joy
not only is the result of salvation but Joy is the result of knowing His Word.
Say:
Jesus and His presence bring me the Fruit of Love,
Jesus and His salvation brings me the Fruit of Joy. Jesus and His Word
bring me His Joy.
Fruit
of Peace:
People
is searching all aver the world for peace and cannot find it. It is only found
in the Holy Ghost.
John
14:27
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you:
not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled,
neither let it be afraid.
How
does Peace come? It comes by knowing this.
Romans
5:1
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace
with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Peace
is the results of Justification.
What
is it to be Justified? Justification
deals with tomorrow. While
forgiveness deals with yesterday.
Ephes.
1:7
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the
forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
If
you are really born again you cannot decide to sin. But you sin because you
still live in a week body.
Justification
means once God changes your heart then God cleanses you He cleanses your whole
life not just your past.
And
knowing that we are justified to the end we have peace.
This
is so powerful!!!!
Philip.
4:7
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Psalm 119:165
Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
Say peace is the results of Justification.
