THE EAGLE
Part 1
God has used every possible means to
communicate with us.
Romans 1:20
For
the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen,
being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and
Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Every part of God’s creation speaks to us.
In this teaching we are going to look at the Eagle.
Proverbs 30:18-19
There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not: [19] The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid.
We are living in the last days of this dispensation.
The Bible calls us an Eagle
The bible states that there are three things that are too wonderful and four things that I know not.
(1) The way of an Eagle in the air. – What is the way of an Eagle in the air? It is the mystery of a Christian without visible support, living like a supernatural being. – Every time we see an Eagle it speaks of a Christian. Every time it speaks of the air we speak of power and invisible supernatural forces.
(2) The way of a serpent on a rock. – This deals with Christ and Satan.
(3) The way of a ship in the mist of the sea – That is the mystery that deals with the church surviving in this world.
(4) The way of a man with a maid – That is the mystery of Christ and His Church.
Deut. 32:11-12
As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young,
spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings: [12] So the
Lord alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.
As we look at the Eagle we see a revelation of God and His people.
(1) There are two types of Eagles that we see in the Bible:
(a). The Imperial Eagle (b) The Gold Eagle
The Imperial Eagle speaks of the Christian, the King of all birds.
The Gold Eagle speaks of the nature of God within us.
As an eagle stirreth up her nest, Here is the Eagle with her beautiful little eaglets. Here they are in a beautiful nest, high and lifted up, protected and secure. The nest of an Eagle is the most comfortable and protected and secure of any bird. Every day The Eagle brings choice meat to her eaglets. The eaglets have revival every day. One day something happens. The mama eagle shows up with no food and she has a strange look about her. Now the mama Eagle goes crazy, she begins to tear the nest apart peace by peace.
Moses says stirreth up her nest. Stirreth means shake it destroy it.
Now the Eagle does something very unusual:(fluttereth
over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings)
Now the Eagle just spreads her wings and hovers over them in the torn up nest.
She is trying to show them they have wings.
The moment God Almighty destroys your comfort He is about to reveal His power.
Now she does something really odd, she begins to push them out of the nest.
Now the little eaglet is falling down and down and it si screaming. If you were the little eaglet you would be screaming also. You would say all this time He fed me and blessed me and now He is trying to kill me.
Have you ever felt like God was doing this to you?
taketh them, beareth them on her wings
The Mama Eagle’s wings are heard like a wonderful powerful supersonic airplane. Wham! She swings down and picks up the little eaglet. Then she swings up high and does it again. This happens four or five times.
The Eagle will drop her eaglets four to five time before they get the message.
Which dive are you on.
Mama Eagle tried to tell her eaglets something before she pushed them out.
God is saying to you children have wings use them.
Don’t set there in your nest hoping to be fed.
Now something wonderful happens. On the last dive the little eaglet decides to spread the wings and when she does it works!
Now the eaglet starts using unused mussels. Building up her strength to become a mighty bird.
An Eagle is made for Heaven.
Lament. 4:19
Our persecutors are swifter than the eagles of the heaven: they pursued us upon the mountains, they laid wait for us in the wilderness.
SAY GOD WANTS ME TO FLY
God withdraws His power slowly. He withdraws the support systems from us.
Why? Because in the struggle we build the Mussel that is necessary.
We can build this mussel only in struggle, why? So we can build energy.
To do what?
Isaiah 40:28-31
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. [29] He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. [30] Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: [31] But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
The Bible tells me that all birds fly but the Eagle mounts.
What is the difference in flying and mounting? Flying is flapping your wings. The eagle doesn’t do this.
.No other bird understands the current like an eagle. The eagle understands the wind!!
The eagle stands on a rock waiting for the right wind. When the right wind comes she spreads those wings. She begins to ride the wind. She mounts up!
The little eaglet will never become an eagle until she goes through struggles.
Mama Eagle will drop her several times and the eaglet will think she is going to kill her.
Only in death will we find resurrection.
Only in struggle will we find our destiny as God’s people.
Romans 5:17
For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
We reign in life through Christ Jesus!
We reign in this life, we are not to be afraid of our shadow. Humbleness is not withdrawing.
Humbleness is worshiping God, giving Him your all, bowing to no other but Him.
We reign with Christ NOW !!!!
We are masters over devils and sin.
God wants you to Fly.
The world teaches you how to fly by pushing you up, God teaches you how to fly by dropping you down.
Through struggle we find our destiny.
The eagle’s main enemy is a serpent.
When the snake or serpent knows the eagle is away it will start to wind its way up to the nest and gets into the nest, wanting to destroy the little ones.
The eagles are able to know that their kids are in danger.
The eagle knows and comes flying back with speed to the nest. The eagle does two things to get rid of the snake.
(1) It begins to hit it with its beak. While she does this the snake loses its awareness of where it is. She keeps hitting the snake with her beak until the snake becomes dazed. Then when the eagle notices that the snake is dazed and unable to determine where it is the eagle grabs the head. The claws go into the head and now she picks the snake out of the nest and drops it on a rock. Making sure it dies.
We can defeat Satan:
With the word of our mouth. Until he is so dazed he doesn’t know where the attack is coming from.
You will never get Satan out of your homes and your life until the Word dazes his brain.
What does the Eagle do when it gets sick?
(1) Goes and stands on a rock very still and lets the rays of the sun heat its body.
(2) It allows the rays to soak its body. The sun rebuilds up her body and restores her health.
If you want to be healed stand on the rock and let His presence come upon you.
